The Black Horse is located in the picturesque hamlet of Monks Horton, which nestles beneath the North Downs in the East Kent Countryside. The surrounding area is mainly agricultural and affords incredible views of the “Garden of England”. The Pub complements its surroundings perfectly, a picture postcard property that is the epitome of what a country pub should be. It has an extensive beer garden to the rear, which looks out onto countryside, with an enclosed children’s play area - an ideal spot for both customers and their children. Inside the country theme continues with exposed brick floor in the bar area, exposed beams throughout and enormous inglenook fireplaces. The pub is a free house under new ownership and landlord Harry Willett –formerly of the Tiger Inn - is a larger than life character legendary in the local area for his unique style and provision of fine wines and ales together with exemplary modern English cuisine.
